Men's Hockey 1999

A GRADE

The 1999 Season has started with 3 good wins from as many starts for the Panthers. This year's team has taken on an even younger look than previous years after the loss of three of our pivotal player from the previous season. This has meant an increased workload all round for the team and they have taken on this task with what can only be called true Panther's spirit. So far this season they have racked up wins against Rooty Hill 11-1, Goanna's 4-2 and Emu Plains 2-0 and promise to be the teams to beat again this year.

B GRADE

The B grade Men's team like the A grade has had a promising start to the season. This side is made up of what can only be called the veterans of the club combined with junior players. This has so far proved to be a dynamic combination with the veteran's experience showing the juniors a few tricks and the junior's enthusiam lifting the vet's to push themselves.

The season started with a 3-3 draw against Emu Plains 3 (mainly due to playinf the game short unfortunatley), a 5-0 win over Goannas 2 and a 3-1 win over Emu Plains 2

In Summary, despite losing strength from both teams this year through player leaving the club or retiring, ths mens teams have rebuilt strongly and will again guarentee a good season for panthers.
